Sell with Stillora

A small note before you read on:

Stillora is a small place for things I think are beautiful. Mostly I find pieces myself — at flea markets, estate sales, antique shops, and from independent makers I follow. But sometimes a beautiful piece finds you first, and you'd like it to find a new owner. That's where this page comes in.

If you have a piece you're ready to part with — vintage or contemporary, signed or anonymous — and you think it belongs at Stillora, here is how it works.

How it works

Email me first. Send a few clear photos and a few honest sentences to stillora.ej@gmail.com. I read everything and reply within a few days.
If I'd like to bring it in, we'll discuss your hoped-for price and agree on a final number together. Stillora keeps 20% of the final sale price; you keep 80%.
You ship the piece to me. You cover the shipping (and, if you're outside the US, any duties or customs). I'll send you the address once we've agreed.
I receive, photograph, list, and care for the piece the same way I do my own finds. Same morning light, same white cloth, same careful description.
When it sells, I pay you within 7 days of the buyer's order being confirmed (Stillora's items are final sale, but we wait the full week as a clean cut-off).

Commission

Stillora's commission is a flat 20% of the final sale price.

You keep 80%. There are no listing fees, no photography fees, no storage fees. If your piece doesn't sell, you don't pay anything.

Payment

I pay within 7 days of the sale, once the buyer's order is confirmed and the return window has passed (Stillora's items are sold as final sale, so this is mostly a clean cut-off).

Pricing

Tell me what you hope to get for the piece. I'll tell you what I think is realistic given the market, the condition, and how Stillora is positioned. We agree on a number together before I list it. I'd rather price something correctly and have it find its person quickly than chase a number neither of us is happy with.

If a piece doesn't sell within 90 days

Most pieces find their person quickly. If yours hasn't, after 90 days you choose one of three paths:

Drop the price by 20% and continue listing.
Have it returned to you (you cover return shipping and any customs).
Leave it listed indefinitely at the agreed price, with no time limit.

I'll write you at the 90-day mark and we'll decide together.

Returns

Stillora's items are sold as final sale. I describe each piece honestly, photograph it carefully, and include condition notes — so the buyer knows exactly what they're getting. This means once a piece sells and the 7-day window passes, that sale is final, and your payment is on its way.

What I look for

The honest answer: I trust my eye more than I trust any list. But here is roughly what tends to find a home at Stillora.

Yes, please

Vintage signed costume — Avon, Sarah Coventry, Oscar de la Renta, Trifari, Monet, Napier, Crown Trifari, and the rarer English and European houses. Bonus if it has the original box.
Solid gold or sterling silver from any era. Vintage especially welcome.
Contemporary work from independent makers — small studios, careful hands. If the piece feels like the maker meant it, I want to see it.
Real stones, treated or untreated, lab-grown or mined. I don't discriminate by origin — only by character.
Antique pieces — Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco, mid-century. Especially with their original cases or paperwork.
Pearls — freshwater, baroque, sea shell, mother-of-pearl. Real preferred but not required.
Brass and PNP costume in good condition.
Pieces with provenance — anything with a story attached, even an informal one.

Probably not

Mass-produced fast-fashion costume jewellery (Shein, Temu, fast-fashion brand drops).
Cookie-cutter contemporary "delicate" jewellery from large online retailers.
Pieces that have been heavily restored, re-set, or re-plated in a way that erases their character.
Anything seriously damaged, deformed, or not safely wearable.
Suspected counterfeits or copies of signed designer work.

If you're unsure, send the photos anyway. I'd rather see something and say not this time than miss a beautiful piece because the description sounded ordinary.

Shipping to me

Once we've agreed to bring a piece in, I'll send you my shipping address. A few small requests:

Pack it carefully. Soft pouch or original box, wrapped in tissue, padded box. Tracked shipping always.
Insure it for the agreed sale price.
If you're outside the US, mark it as a personal item or used jewellery, low value as appropriate, and cover any customs or duties on your end.
Include a small note with your full name, the piece's agreed price, and your preferred payment method.

If a piece arrives damaged or differs significantly from the photos we discussed, I'll let you know within a few days and we'll figure it out together — no surprises.
